About Us

St. Ann's Academy was established in 2012 to preserve the availability of a Catholic education for children in the Hornell, NY area.  We proudly continue the 149 year tradition of  St. Ann School and will strive to build upon its success for future generations.  We are proud to announce that we were recently granted a Provisional Charter by the NYS Department of Education.  View our NYS Educational Charter

St. Annís Academy exists to provide a Catholic education in the Hornell area so that our children learn in an environment that enables them to become well-grounded spiritually and exceptional academically.

St. Ann's Academy is a not-for-profit, non-public school located in Hornell, NY.  We serve students in Pre-K (3 & 4 year olds), and grades K through 6.    The school provides a caring learning environment anchored in values.  The value of studying and applying one’s self is stressed so that high academic achievement can be attained as the children move into upper grades. St. Ann’s Academy admits students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin.

On September 6th, 2016, St. Ann's Academy celebrated our fifth "first day" of school.  Wow!  5 new school years already!  We opened in 2012 with only 21 students; this year, we are blessed to have 64 students enrolled!  We thank God, our families, our teachers, and our many supporters for giving the children of this community such a wonderful educational opportunity.

Our Governance

St. Ann's Academy manages our resources well so a quality education is affordable to all families in the area who want their children to have a faith-based education that provides a sound emotional & spiritual foundation for life.  To learn more about our administrative model click here: Organization/Governance Model

Please help our school

St. Ann's Academy receives no funding from NYS or the Catholic church.  We are fiscally conservative, and rely exclusively on tuition payments and donations to run our school. Please view our donation page to learn about donor opportunities, or click the button below to make a donation online.  Thank you and God bless you.

Field of Honor®

St. Ann's Academy is proud to host its sixth annual Field of Honor® flag event paying tribute to our veterans and service men and women with a moving display of American flags. This amazing patriotic display will consist of hundreds of American flags flying atop 8-foot poles on a field of green located at One Steuben Square November 9-13, 2016.   Learn more...
